    REALM (Regional Ecosystems and Landscaping Mapping) dataset describes the REALM level 1 (ecological) regions of the Northern Territory; it is based on regional geomorphology with the intention to incorporate additional ecological themes as part of its further development.     The REALM (Regional Ecosystems and Landscaping Mapping) Regions of the Northern Territory dataset describes the REALM ecological regions of the Northern Territory at 3 levels. Level 1 is based on regional geomorphology with the intention to incorporate additional ecological themes as part of its further development. It is mapped for the whole of the NT and should not be used at a scale greater than 1:50,000. Level 2 describes the ecological subregions of four of the Northern Territory Ecological Regions: Pine Creek, Daly Basin, Arnhem Plateau and Central Arnhem; it is based on regional geomorphology with the intention to incorporate additional ecological themes as part of its further development. Level 3 describes the landscape aggregations of three of the Northern Territory Ecological Regions: Pine Creek, Daly Basin and Arnhem Plateau; It distinguishes aggregations of landscape features to highlight their geographical and ecological significance as well as emphasise their distinctiveness or peculiarity within their respective landscape settings.
