Risk to Biodiversity in the Wadeye Area, 2021

This polygon spatial dataset describes the Risk to Biodiversity in the Wadeye Area, located approximately 250 km south-east of Darwin in the Northern Territory. The biodiversity assessment area covers 17,800 ha. Flora surveys were undertaken between September and November 2018 to assess the distribution and abundance of significant flora and vertebrate fauna species. Sensitive and significant vegetation communities were also identified and mapped. This information is part of the Mapping the Future Project of the Wadeye Area, published in June 2021. This project has identified land capability, water availability and biodiversity values to support land planning and inform development potential over the Wadeye area. Reports and maps for the Wadeye project can be viewed from the webpage: https://depws.nt.gov.au/DevelopmentOpportunities
