Population estimates for Health Districts (1971 to 2025)

This dataset provides annual population estimates for Health Districts from 1971 to 2025, stratified by age, sex, and Aboriginal status. The estimates are constructed using Census counts alongside the official Estimated Resident Population (ERP) data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). Health District boundaries align with the ABS Indigenous Regions. The dataset is maintained by Health Statistics and Informatics, NT Health and updated after the ABS release of December ERPs.
