Land Resources Greater Darwin Area

This dataset provides polygon information on the map units boundaries of the Elizabeth, Darwin and Blackmore Catchments - Greater Darwin Area, Northern Territory. The main purpose of the survey is an inventory and an evaluation of the land resources of the for planning rural and urban use. This dataset is a compilation of 8 existing land resource surveys. (refer to Supplementary Information to see original survey listing) The original Land Unit survey report was published by Fogarty et al. (1979) The Land Resources of the Darwin Area. Land Unit descriptions are sourced from the original report and adjacent surveys and are now covered by Fogarty et al. (1984) The Land Resources of the Elizabeth, Darwin and Blackmore Rivers.
