Land Resources Marrakai Area

This spatial dataset, surveyed at a scale of 1:25000, provides polygon information on the map unit boundaries of the Marrakai Area, Northern Territory and includes a detailed description of the landform, soils and vegetation of each land unit. The survey area covers 580km2 to the east of the Adelaide River and south of the Arnhem Highway. The purpose of this survey was to map, describe and evaluate land to assist in future land use planning and management. The polygon linework was redrawn in 2014 and an addtional land unit, 3b1, was created. This land unit is not described in the report. The soil description is similar to 3b however the dominant vegetation type is Dry Rainforest.
