Land Units Helen Springs Station

This polygon spatial dataset provides information on the land unit boundaries of Helen Springs Station, Northern Territory and describes dominant landform, soils and vegetation. The original purpose of the survey was to acquire baseline information on the land resources to assist with management of the property. The survey area of 5,385 km2 is located approximately 150 km north of Tennant Creek on the Stuart Highway. The original field survey was undertaken in 1987-89 at a mapping scale of 1:100,000. Core attributes describing the land units, as defined by this department, were added to the spatial dataset in February 2015.
