Mary River Floodplain Vegetation Survey

This polygon spatial dataset describes vegetation unit boundaries for the Upper and lower Mary River Floodplains, Northern Territory. The mapped information describes vegetation units and their attributes as floristic and environmental data and provides a basis for identifying the extent and distribution of vegetation resources. The original field survey was undertaken in 1996 at a mapping scale of 1:50,000. The survey area of 1,151km2 is located approximately 90km east of Darwin on the coastal plains west of Kakadu National Park, between the coastline and the MacKinlay River just south of the Arnhem Highway.
