Onshore Petroleum Infrastructure

The Onshore Petroleum Infrastructure Dataset provides spatial data on land clearing activities and infrastructure development associated with the Northern Territory's onshore petroleum industry from 2019 to the present. The data identifies the approved Environmental Management Plan (EMP) the clearing occurred under and the use of the cleared area. Currently, the dataset contains site-specific information for infrastructure within the Beetaloo Sub-basin, with plans for gradual expansion to encompass additional areas in the NT. The dataset documents land use changes related to exploration and production, offering insights into cumulative environmental impacts and industry growth. The dataset is updated annually and made publicly available.
