Soil Studies in the Eastern Sector of the Nourlangie Creek Catchment

This polygon spatial dataset provides information on the land unit boundaries of the Eastern Sector of the Nourlangie Creek catchment within the Northern Territory, and describes dominant landform, soils and vegetation of the area. The survey area encompasses 164 km2 of the south-east portion of Kakadu National Park and is located approximately 225 km south-east of Darwin.

The original field survey was undertaken in 1982 at a mapping scale of 1:50,000.

Core attributes describing the land units, as defined by this department, were added to the spatial dataset in March of 2025.
