Soils of the Kilfoyle Plain, 1967

This polygon spatial dataset provides information on the land unit boundaries of the Kilfoyle Plains within the Lower Daly River Region, Northern Territory and describes dominant landform, soils and some vegetation. The survey area of 1,421 km2 is bisected by the lower Daly River and is located between the community of Nauiyu to the northern side of the mouth of the Daly.

The original field survey was undertaken between 1965 and 1967 at a mapping scale of approximately 1:30,000 to complement other investigations for the irrigation potential of the area. This spatial dataset contains only a minimal set of attributes describing the land units.
